2. Purposes and legal bases
Personal data is processed to provide SOFBAC Remote Connect securely, handle enquiries, perform contracts, bill services, prevent abuse and comply with legal duties. Legal bases include Article 6(1)(b), (c) and (f) GDPR and, where required, consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR.
3. Service-specific data
Connection identifiers, timestamps, device information and technical relay logs may be processed to establish and secure remote connections.
4. Website, logs and cookies
When the website is accessed, technically necessary data such as IP address, time, requested resource, referrer and browser information may be processed. Necessary cookies or local storage may be used for login, language, security and session control. Non-essential access is used only on an appropriate legal basis.
5. Recipients and processors
Hosting and storage primarily use Hetzner infrastructure within the European Union. Other recipients may include email, payment or technical providers where required for the selected service and identified during ordering.
6. Retention
Data is retained only as long as necessary for its purpose, contractual duties, security, evidence and statutory retention. After termination, service content is removed according to agreed export and deletion periods unless continued retention is legally required.
7. Transfers outside the EEA
Transfers outside the EEA are not intended unless required for a specifically identified provider. Where applicable, the required legal basis and safeguards are used.
8. Rights
Data subjects have rights of access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability, objection and withdrawal of consent. Complaints may be submitted to the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.
